The Continuum and The Grandmother Paradox by Wendy Nikel

I knew I wanted to read The Continuum by Wendy Nikel as soon as I read the blurb. It did not disappoint!

“Elise Morley is an expert on the past who’s about to get a crash course in the future.”

I have read a few books where someone travels in time or places but none quite like this one. I fully enjoyed the time traveling concept and as a reader you were thrust into the story immediately. It’s not a brick of a book but I find it to be well written and making me want for more when it is over! This book has not only a great concept of time travel but also a very exciting story and a fantastic ending!

Luckily there is a sequel called “The Grandmother Paradox”.

I don’t want to say too much about this book because I don’t want to perhaps spoil something from book one. Just know there is a second book and I’m looking forward to a possible third book!

Cover for Detox in Letters by Cheryl Low

Have you seen the cover for Detox in Letters?

This is the sequel to Vanity in Dust by Cheryl Low. You should not miss this series! I know I am biased because I totally love this series and I have read them over and over. But I totally recommend this series anyway. Give it a try! And don’t forget to leave a review!

I will write a more in-depth post about the process of making the cover. I’m just so happy it is out in the world!

About Detox in Letters

Welcome to the Realm, where magic is your drug, your poison, and your only hope.

An illness is spreading through the city, marking the sick in mysterious letters scrawled across their skin. What is first thought to be madness reveals itself to be an awakening as residents rediscover themselves, their pasts, and their long-forgotten magic… things the Queen wants to remain buried. Things she will sacrifice her own children to suppress.

Mercy has never been a staple of the Realm. Treachery, blood, and magic steeps the city as the rebel leader, Red, seeks to topple the Tower, Princess Fay eyes her mother’s throne, and Prince Vaun must decide whether to submit to his mother’s terrible demand.

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas

I had been looking forward to this book for a long time. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. It was not a bad book at all but it was so predictable and slow paced. Still, it was a good book and I am glad I read it.

Broken Moon by Sarah Beth Moore

I just read the new book Broken Moon by Sarah Beth Moore, also known as newleafwriter on instagram. She contacted me and asked if I would like to read and review her book, which I of course wanted.

I have read self published books before and some are better than others. I am glad to say that Sarah’s book belongs to the better ones. It is well written and it comes as no surprise to find out she works as a copywriter.

I really enjoyed this book and I read it in a couple of days. The world were Naiya lives is about to turn upside down and she and her step brothers have to fight to survive and at the same time figure out who Naiya really is and what really is going on in their city.

It is set in a future dystopian city with high technology and surveillance and guards. It is quite different to other books I’ve read but still fits well into the young adult fantasy genre

Books I am looking forward to read

Here are a few books that are newly released that I am looking forward to read.

The Dazzling Heights by Katherine McGee

I loved the Thousandth Floor which is the first book in this serie. I have been looking foward to this sequel now for over a year!

Wonder Woman – warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

Leigh Bardugo writing Wonder Woman! I don’t need to say more.

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

I wanted to write “I can’t get enough of Sarah J. Maas” but then I realised that I do get enough of her. I don’t particularly like her latest series about the fairie courts and I haven’t and probably won’t read that latest book. But Tower of Dawn belongs to the Throne of Glass serie that I do love. So this will be a fun read when I get to it.

Saker ingen ser av Anna Ahlund

Jag läste “Du, bara” i januari och gillar verkligen Annas skrivsätt. Det här är hennes nya bok och det ska bli roligt att läsa den och se vad hon hittat på denna gång!
